Photography allows me to understand the complex socio-economic landscape of the places I visit, serving as a complement to academic research.

Alongside civil-military relations and the presence of foreign armed forces, 'conflict' occupies a particularly important place – a theme that recurs in these images, present in the background of everyday life and inscribed in the space.
